Good textbook - helpful teaching style that made learning easier. Chapters built upon each other through the book and allows for good learning capacity. Incredible MS Project Reference

One of the best reference books I have ever read (and I have read a lot of them). The authors take you 'step by step' through every critical feature in MS Project. The procedures are very straightforward; there is virtually no way to screw up their instructions. Even if you know nothing about project management, you will have no trouble with this book. In fact, this book will teach you more than how to use MS Project, it will also teach you about project management. I really can't say enough positive things about this book.

My only small criticism is that many of the figures are not labeled. I found myself labeling some of the more ambiguous figures myself.

Nonetheless, I still have no trouble giving this book 5 stars.

This has been a great book for learning Project 2007. If you already know Project, it does a great job of providing review material, guiding you away from unnecessary chapters. If you have never really spent time with Project, this book does a very good job of walking you through, Step by Step, aspects and capabilities of Project, as well as exposing you to solid project management practices.

LOTS OF GOOD THINKING

A lot of good thought in the book. Not a wildly right-wing manifesto, but a good "loyal opposition" book explaining why despite the good points of both liberals and conservatives, the right end view turns out to be correct. Also explains the difference between modern conservatism and traditional conservatism.

This a superb short book on the fundamental principles of conservatism, written to contrast how conservatism relates to other modern "isms": nationalism, socialism, capitalism, liberalism, multiculturalism, environmentalism, and internationalism.

Scruton is the polar opposite of our friend below who gave this book a one star rating. Where the reviewer is bigoted and judgmental, Scruton is fair, thoughtful, and lucid.

An encompassing philosophy for an ecologically mindful conservative

I got to interview Scruton on my podcast Christian Humanist Profiles, and I couldn't have been more impressed. My take on the GOP and on Islam certainly differ from Scruton's, and I'm not as sure as he is that the state is as ontologically different from the market, but the fact that he disagrees in a reasonable manner sets him apart from far too much of contemporary politics. His focus on environmentalism and on nationalist alternatives to (toothless) international treaties are particularly good here.

A must have for every Automation Engineer

With more and more Enterprises moving towards E2E automated solutions in the ever growing technical space, with so many automation tools out there, HP has always been ahead of the race in terms of the solutions and UFT has been one such gem of a tool with its Frontend, service and database validation capabilities. This cookbook gives you very good insight that you need in terms of day to day challenges, that every automation engineer faces, with respect to front end User Interface automation. It gives an overall approach for front end automation, with well detailed code snippets with examples for each of the scenarios. I have to say one thing here. The code snippets covered over the course of the entire book helps in getting very good grab on the tools features and a well laid out information for development of customized automation frameworks.

All in all, its a must have for every aspiring automation engineer.

The book overall focuses more on detailed explanation of each and every topic that we touch upon in QTP/UFT. The code is explained in very simple fashion, so that the people with less knowledge on the tool can understand the code. I liked the book for the fact that all the topics are touched and explained properly, surely an advanced cookbook. Well done

This book is typical Ogden Nash. Great light-hearted poetry, but with a message (usually). Especially if you're from New England, you'll enjoy the references to New York City. You should know, however, that this book was later published under the title "Candy is Dandy." Don't do what I did, and order both, thinking the content would be different.

Still apropo

Although Nash is considered first as a humorist, he is very perceptive at getting to the basis of the human foibles of his day, and in reading him in the present time, we find how little human nature has changed, and how funny it still is. As he aged, his poetry turned a bit darker. As I age I can identify with this.
