Furthermore, The Visit of the Wise Men teaches young Christians that Jesus was sent by God to die for humanity's sins, thus enabling mankind to be forgiven. An excellent addition to church and Christian youth libraries, gloriously illustrated by Lin Wang in a striking watercolor and colored pencil style she has dubbed "ethereal Realism".

Beautiful picture book portraying the true story!

I have to agree with a previous comment that this book portrays the real story of the wise men, and their venture following the star of Bethlehem to find the new born king. Although for 5 and up, my 4 yr. old, and his friends close to the same age were enthralled by the pictures and the story line. I used this book for a Cultural Playdate: Celebrating Three Kings Day (story time & crafts). As a Puerto rican we celebrate The Epiphany, and this was a perfect book to use. Highly recommend it!
